Ration card is demanded at every government office. If you do not have ration card, officer say 'No' to your job. But, how many people know, that no government officer can force you to produce ration card. It is totally depends upon you to produce or not. If you do not have RC, it can be replaced by any residential proof you have. On the back side of Name-Address page of RC, it is printed that this ration card is for rationing purpose only, not for any evidence!!!
In its GR of Food Ministry, No. Sankirna-1897/1964/pra.kra.8065/na.pu.28,Dated: 21 Nov,1998, Maharashtra Govt has strictly prohibited various Govt. Offices from demanding Ration Card as a residential proof. Govt has clearly mentioned in its GR that Ration Card is not a concrete proof of residence. Govt Officer who rely on it is self responsible for further circumstances.
राजकारण जर बहुमतावर चालत असेल, तर बहुमताची आवड बदलावी लागेल. प्रशासकीय, राजकीय, सामाजिक व्यवस्था बहुमताला समजावून सांगावी लागेल. सकारात्मक विचारांचं बहुमत तयार करावं लागेल. काम कठीण आहे. पण अशक्य नाही. ज्यांना बदल हवाय, त्यांना बदलाच्या प्रक्रियेतूनच जावंच लागेल. त्यासाठी धीर, चिकाटी, मुळात विचारांची प्रामाणिकता हवी. विद्यमान नियमकायद्यांच्या अंमलबजावणीचा आग्रह, काही कायद्यांत काळानुरूप सुधारणा, आवश्यकतेनुसार नव्या कायद्यांची मागणी आणि समांतर पातळीवर लोकशिक्षण ही आपली कार्यपध्दती आहे
